Terms of Service

The terms governing your subscription to and use of Cyber Shield Weekly.

Effective October 27, 2026

1. Scope

These Terms govern your access to and use of Cyber Shield Weekly — the free weekly cybersecurity newsletter, its web archive at newsletters.intelamation.net, the audio/podcast edition, and the magazine editions we publish (collectively, the "Newsletter"). The Newsletter is published by Intelligent Automation, LLC ("IA," "we," "us"), 336 US Highway 46, Fairfield, NJ 07004.

These Terms do not govern services we deliver to paying customers — those are governed by a separate Master Services Agreement. Our website Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy also apply where relevant.

2. Acceptance

By subscribing to, reading, listening to, or sharing the Newsletter you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, unsubscribe and do not use it.

3. Who may subscribe

The Newsletter is intended for business and technology professionals aged 18 or older. It is operated from the United States. You agree to subscribe using your own email address, or an address you are authorized to use.

4. Informational only — not professional advice

The Newsletter reports on publicly disclosed vulnerabilities, threat activity, and security guidance. It is general information, not professional, legal, compliance, or security advice for your specific environment, and it does not create a consultant or advisory relationship between you and IA.

Security decisions depend on facts we do not know about your systems. Do not act on anything here without validating it against your own environment, and engage a qualified professional before making material changes. Patch guidance, severity ratings, and threat attribution are accurate to the best of our knowledge at publication and may change as vendors and researchers release new information.

5. AI-assisted production and AI voice

The Newsletter is produced with AI assistance. Editorial content is drafted using AI tools from sources we select, and reviewed by IA before publication. The podcast edition is narrated by synthetic voices, including an authorized AI model of Daniel Ramos's own voice, used with his express permission for his segment.

We disclose this because we believe you are entitled to know how what you are reading and hearing was made — and because voice cloning is itself a threat we write about. See How We Use AI. AI assistance does not reduce our responsibility for what we publish, but see Section 4 on the limits of that content.

6. Subscription and unsubscribing

Subscription is free and confirmed by double opt-in. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any issue or the unsubscribe page. We may suspend or remove a subscription that bounces repeatedly, is reported as spam, or is used abusively. We may also discontinue the Newsletter at any time.

7. Content, copyright, and sharing

The Newsletter, including its text, layout, graphics, and audio, is © Intelligent Automation, LLC, except third-party material quoted under fair use and credited to its source.

You may forward issues to colleagues, quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back, and share the public issue URLs — we encourage it.

You may not republish issues in full, resell them, strip our branding or attribution, present the content as your own, or use it to train a machine-learning model without our written permission.

8. Third-party links and platforms

We link to vendor advisories, researcher write-ups, and news coverage. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. The podcast is distributed through Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and similar platforms, each governed by its own terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Newsletter is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, IA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of or reliance on the Newsletter — including any security incident you did or did not prevent. Because the Newsletter is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with it is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100).

11. Privacy

Subscriber data is handled under our Newsletter Privacy Policy. In short: we collect your name, email, and optionally your company; we never sell it; and you can leave at any time.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and noted in an issue of the Newsletter. Continuing to read after a change means you accept it.
